One foot in front of the other
You were my walking dream
Blurred white like the light on our high school stage
Thin lipped, eyes sharp as a butterfly blade
Warm drumming
Heart in a rib cage
Warm drumming
I think you always knew you'd lose your way
Closer to home than you ever thought
Long gone, walking dream
You fall into yourself again
You fall into the wind
This album is so painfully beautiful. Julien's voice is delicately strained and her words paint vignettes that range from delicate somber memories to muted pain. The guitar tones and thin texture of the layering leave this album feeling very intimate and raw. Among the best things I've heard this past year. Jake Gussman
I love how spacious yet intimate the mixing and lyrics are. Everything comes together so well. I especially love when more elements start to be brought as the album reaches it's climax. pacificbird
Alec Bowman perfectly captures the dark soil under the pastoral world of British folk with this collection of melancholy originals. Bandcamp New & Notable May 12, 2020
